Why should anyone take Nutritional Supplements and Vitamins?
Taking nutritional supplements and vitamins allows you to be reasonable in your natural health choices. Commercially grown foods in the United States simply are not as nutritious and good for you as they once were. Nor, do we always have the time to eat healthy.
Second, they are an easy and convenient way to deal with any known vitamin or nutrient deficiencies. Low fat diets are known to be deficient in all the oil soluble vitamins and nutrients. Further, persons dieting or trying to lose a lot of weight do NOT get sufficient amounts of vitamins and other nutrients from their low calorie diet.

Adequate vitamin D supplementation more than doubles the amount of calcium that you can get from a healthy whole food diet which drastically reduces the need for calcium and magnesium supplements to prevent and treat bone loss that naturally occurs as we all age.
