SEO Tips & Tricks: They Don't Want You to Know About

Double-Listings Deliver a Double Knockout Punch

Ever notice that sometimes the Google SERPs for a given keyword will occasionally list two webpages from one site rather than just the usual single webpage listing? Ever wonder what that means? Or, how to intentionally place double-listings anywhere you want them?

Well, John H. Gohde sure did. He asked that question a long time ago on the Google Webmaster Help group and, of course, never ever got any type of an answer. Most SEOs just hate to give out the secretes of their craft.

Google Double-Listings

The answer to all of your questions on double-listings are really quite simple. You could research this question on the Internet, of course. But, none of the SEO blogs ever give out the complete answer to these questions. And, neither will this post. However, John H. Gohde has set up a special double-listing category that will answer all of your questions over time on double or indented listings in the Google SERPs.

At the most basic level a double-listing requires at least two different webpages from the same Web site targeting the identical keywords. Just like blogs will post on the same topic over and over again, every Web site whether static or dynamic should target each of their keywords with at least two different webpages. The more webpages targeting the same keywords, the better.

Double-Listings Deliver a Knockout Punch in the SERPs

Under the right conditions two different webpages on the same site that target identical keywords will show up in Google as a Double-Listing.
