Chronic Malnutrition from eating added Sugar & Processed Grains in your diet.- The negative effects
from eating lots of junk food over several decades should never be ignored. Subtle chronic malnutrition from eating
nutritionally dead foods can produce global symptoms from premature aging to senility.
Consumption of added sugar stimulates highly reactive pro-oxidants generation, increases oxidative load,
and causes a fall in alpha-tocopherol concentration for several hours in normal subjects.[5] "Total plasma
radical-trapping activity, which evaluates plasma antioxidant capacity due to known and unknown antioxidants present
in the plasma as well as their mutual co-operation, ... [is] also significantly reduced."[6] |
I recommend that you take one B-50 B Vitamin Complex tablet with both Lunch and Dinner. Plus, you should take 200
mcg of any form of Chromium once a day. You should also consider taking antioxidant
supplements.
Dangers of Sugar |
| Dehydration, Chronic - Without water you would die in a matter of only a few days. There is a reason for
this. Water is an universal solvent essential for every reaction in the human body. Symptoms of dehydration are
global and can vary from skin problems to apathy, depression, and confusion. |
Water is truly the cheapest supplement that you can take. Thus, you should NOT overlook the value of drinking
lots of water. It basically boils down to drinking a glass of water every two hours, while you are awake. You may
drink any water containing fluid, such as fruit juice or tea. Ideally, caffeine containing beverages should be
avoided. One and a half glasses of a caffeine containing beverage equals one glass of pure water.
Eight, eight ounce,
glasses (i.e., 64 ounces)a day (depending on our size and activity level) of clean, filtered water are suggested.

| Hangovers from drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Drinking large amounts of alcohol on a regular basis,
can not be recommended for anyone interested in their health. |
Take five or six capsules of Evening Primrose Oil before going to bed, to avoid waking up with a hangover. Evening
Primrose Oil has also been reported to work on treating hangovers.

High rates of Prostanoid / Eicosanoid Synthesis are likely to be deleterious.[3] Prostanoids / Eicosanoid
is the collective term for prostaglandins, prostacyclins and thromboxanes. They are hormone like substances which
are extremely potent mediators of a diverse group of physiological processes. Hence, they have global effects on
your health.
You can influence prostaglandin metabolism for better health by altering the fatty acid composition of your diet.
You should promote good prostaglandins (series 1 & 3 which prevent blood platelets from sticking together,
improves blood flow, and reduced inflammation) and avoid "bad" prostaglandins (series 2 which promote
blood platelet stickiness, a factor that leads to hardening of the arteries, heart disease, and strokes). |
In a diet consisting of 30% fat, saturated fatty acid content (arachiconic acid or bad prostaglandins) should
be 10% or less.3 The best way to achieve this goal is to eat a plant based diet, with restricted amounts of both
meat and dairy.
In western countries the ratio of consumption of Omega-6 to Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is greater than
10 and current evidence tends to suggest that a ratio nearer 5 would be more desirable and compatible with cardiovascular
well being.[4],[9] Several studies over the past 20 years have demonstrated that subjects on diets composed of
substances with high levels of Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids have a decreased incidence of heart disease.[4],[9]
You can improve your Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio by taking supplements of Fish oil (3 1,000 mg capsules a day), and/or
flaxseed oil (1 tablespoon a day). You can also achieve the same by eating at least three meals a week of fatty
fish. Or, you could try adding flaxseed meal to your diet. |
| Homocysteine Levels - studies have consistently linked elevated levels of the amino acid homocysteine with
an increased risk for developing heart disease, as well as many other Lifestyle
Diseases. |
Stephen Barrett, MD., a well-known crusader against Health Quackery, states: "Dietary supplementation with folic acid can reduce elevated homocysteine levels in most
patients." |
| Inflammation, Chronic - "Atherosclerosis ... actually involves an ongoing inflammatory response.
Recent advances in basic science have established a fundamental role for inflammation in mediating all stages of
this disease from initiation through progression and, ultimately, the thrombotic complications of atherosclerosis."[7] |
|
| LCL Oxidation - "There is accumulating evidence that oxidative modification of LDL is an important
step in the process of atherogenesis and that antioxidants may protect LDL from oxidation."[8] |
|
| Postprandial Lipemia: Presence of abnormally high amounts of fat in the bloodstream that occurs after a
meal. "A single high-fat meal transiently reduces endothelial function for up to 4 hours in healthy, normocholesterolemic
subjects, probably through the accumulation of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins."[1] |
"Exercising 1 hr. before a fat meal may have a beneficial effect on the triglyceride response and HDL
metabolism, which may blunt atherosclerotic process induced by the fat meal."[2]
The decrease in endothelial function is blocked by pretreatment with antioxidant vitamins C (1 g) and E 800
IU).[1] Take the Vitamins E and C, respectively 40 and 15 minutes before the meal.
High fat meals can be followed by taking one tablespoon of any 100% water soluble fiber powdered laxative with
at least 12 ounces of water. This fiber will absorb some of this fat, thereby, keeping it from going into the blood
stream.

| Osteoporosis - A disease in which the bones become extremely porous, are subject to fracture, and heal slowly. |
